Welcome to M&D LAX!!!

The Maryland and District of Columbia Lacrosse Club, commonly referred to as "M&D" or "M&D LAX", is an organization founded on the principle of providing middle school and high school-aged girls in Central Maryland and Northern Virginia with the maximum lacrosse experience. This includes access to top-notch coaches, world-class clinicians, and the highest level of competition. M&D is about staying together as a team and developing new friendships that will last through the college years. We offer a college recruiting seminar to all of our prospective collegiate lacrosse players to explain the recruiting process, the "dos" and "don’ts" of college recruiting, and what players and parents can expect to occur. M&D offers opportunities for players to play winter indoor lacrosse to enhance the speed of their game in both the Washington and Baltimore areas. M&D is the whole package. We offer the education and the championship-level teams all in ONE club, M&D LAX.

M&D has teams in six different grade levels ranging from the high school graduating class of 2012 through the class of 2018. These teams compete at various locations on the east coast beginning in June and ending in February each year.

Unlike many lacrosse clubs that are essentially traveling all-star teams, M&D offers a lacrosse education that fosters individual player development and promotes each player to be a student of the game. Having a complete understanding of the game increases players’ performance and ability. Player development enables M&D teams to excel in all of the top lacrosse tournaments such as National Draw, All-Star Express, Mid-Atlantic Tournament, and Galaxy Nationals, to name a few.

We are the only club in the central Maryland area to compete in the prestigious Galaxy League (www.GalaxyLacrosse.com).  This is the premier level of competition.  We regularly play against the best players from Long Island, Syracuse, Boston, Towson, New Jersey, and Annapolis, which are the biggest hotbeds in the country.  This gives the M&D player a distinct advantage over other non-Galaxy clubs who do not get the high level of competition on a regular basis.

Each M&D team practices two to three times per week during the summer months and one time per week during the fall months. In addition to the regularly scheduled practices sessions, M&D offers several one-day instructional sessions conducted by top collegiate coaches and players in the country to teach players the latest skills and strategies in women’s lacrosse.
